What about safer LFP battery?

Its interesting no data were ever published, then not long ago chris anthony after being asked about the wind tunnel testing which was only a couple of hours at the facility said it was more of a photo oportunity. So I'm guessing the 0.13 cd value is predicted not tested, who knows? Lets say 0.13 cd is correct, that will be max value obtainable. So all predictions on range will be based on that, same goes for solar, so estimated range of 1000miles, will not be known until someone actually drives the aptera till battery is flat, why hasn't that been done? Why is there no evidence to back up the claims? Surely making claims of range needs to be tested.

It worries me a little that you started selling you solar solutions seperately (to make money off course), that's exactly what happened when Sono gave up on the Sion!

BTW, when you're saying cable _routing,_ the latter is pronounced identically to "rooting" (it's from the word _route,_ which is a French word just like "routine", "bouquet", or "boutique"). You're saying it as if it's an inflected form of _rout,_ which means to cut grooves into wood/metal, which is most likely not what you're doing.

Just placed my pre-order for my Launch Edition Aptera a few weeks ago. I am catching up on all the history and updates. Does this mean that the car will only have a NACS adapter plug on it? I see what appeared to be a plug on the right side at that height on the plate and then a spot you were mentioning for the NACS DC adapter. I am hoping that means that the NACS adapter port will be the DC and AC charge port ? Reason I ask (and hope) if that we already have a Tesla Model Y and the Aptera is slated to be our second car to replace our ICE car and get us to full electric for vehicles in our family. Having only to account for a NACS port for both our vehicles would really be great. Thanks and am excited to see, hear and learn more up to the delivery of our Aptera.

Interesting michael johnson major shareholder of Aptera and Flux Power, has history in oil and gas industry and forestation logging. How does someone with that history become involved in setting up Flux Power company and principle stackholder in Aptera? Esenjay investments is his company.

Do the wheel covers really make much difference to drag? Some people might want to remove them as it looks pretty cool without those wheel fairings, they look at bit........well........ugly If you remove them you wont have any blinkers..........bit of an issue.

Heres an odd thing: squeeze a teardrop shaped nut between your fingers ( almonds work) and it pops out, similar effect can be got from shape of aptera body, you could get a little bit of forward force due to air converging on correctly shaped rear section. It has to be a specific teardrop shape.......not much use now but something interesting to note.

I'm still trying to find out how you change the rear tire in case of a flat. Do you have to lie down to access it?

If only Aptera put as much thought into lean production as it did with making slick marketing videos, this product may have possibly had a chance of coming out. Instead it has become how do we fool customers into thinking a product is actually coming for 5 years so they don't attempt to ask for their money back.

Have asked these question probably 20 or more times! Show destructive testing do we will know somewhat insurance is going to cost . Next explain how sensitive electric motors are going to hold up while wheel mounted without shocks. Next show us off road testing and that result. Next give us some idea as to replacement costs and feasibility of getting those repair parts in reasonable time. And finally please share severe weather testing results. It sure is quiet! I can't hear anything?

That’s really great! The only thing I found odd was the way he was using a calk gun to apply adhesive manually and then placing each cell inside, you could tell some of them were crooked. Maybe a better process could be implemented to apply a precise amount of glue and position the cells perfectly. The other thing is the thermal management of the battey, no mention was made on how it is hooked up if it is coolant based or forced air. With NMC batteries you really have to watch the temperature and have a robust way of cooling the cells.

With the high efficiency of the Aptera, I would prefer an LFP chemistry. Safer from fires, and they have the ability to regularly charge to a higher state of charge. Cheaper too!

I understand LiFe is heavy, but damn... This chemistry sounds really expensive

I priced it out and seems to cost about 30% more than I am willing to pay. If the price comes down about 30% I will definitely consider it.
